THE EXPERT THAT I ADMIRE

Oka, let’s talk about somebody that I admire so much. Today I’m going to talk about Paolo Bortolameolli, a young conductor, and pianist who is the current conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil) in United States, and he has participated in quite prestigious orchestras around the world. First, he is chilean, and he was born in 1982. Paolo holds a Master of Music degree (Yale School of Music, 2013), a Graduate Performance Diploma (Peabody Institute, 2015), a Piano Performance Diploma (Universidad Católica de Chile, 2006) and a Conducting Diploma (Universidad de Chile, 2011). As you can see, this is a great curriculum, but I don’t admire him because of that, instead, it’s because I had heard an orchestra under his baton, and I could appreciate the quality that Paolo produces with the orchestra. HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

Hi, This is a really difficult matter. I’m studying Musical Composition and frankly I’m not interested in changing the world, because I know I never can change it. The greater economies of the world, the people with major influence, politics with a big wallet, they exercise the control in the world. They control our alimentation, what we wear, watch, where we live, our jobs, study, and generally, the most aspects of our lives (we choose within what they offer us, and that gives us a false sensation of liberty). That’s why I’ll never change the world, but with my major I’ll be able to give peace, to awaken their most deep feelings, and personally enjoy of something that is complicated to do (because yo need a lot of practice, knowledge, analytical mind, and self-control), and influence our environment, our world, with the most important matter: the happiness, in this ephemeral world. THE FOOD I LOVE

Ok, in this occasion I’m going to talk about food. First, there are a lot of food that I really love, but I’ll only choose one: Burgers. I really love burgers, and I know that isn’t healthy, but in spite of damage it causes in my body I consume it. I think eating burgers three times per month, approximately, always gives me a feeling of guilt. There are a different kinds of burgers: beef burgers, cheese burgers, Turkey burgers, veggie burgers, Italian burgers, etc. Personally, I prefer the typical burger you can find in Chile, the Italian burger. My favorite restaurant is Carl’s Junior. The Italian burger is made with beef, burger bread, avocado, mayonnaise, tomato, lettuce. That’s all. You can add ketchup, and other salad dressings, but it’s your decision. We all know that fast food is not healthy, it can lead to obesity problems, and generally health problems, that’s why I try to consume it a few times per month. MY FAVORITE PIECE OF THECNOLOGY

Hi, this is a really interesting topic.  For a long time I usually used the computers like my main study tool. I also I used it for watch videos, series, to play video games, to create and record music, and other things. I think the computers are very useful, but the problem is that it is no transportable, not a for a physical reason, instead, is because of the amount of personal information you have inside on a computer. Nowadays, there are a lot of crimes, delinquency, and if you don’t save your information in a drive, or hard drives, is so dangerous to transport your personal computer to anywhere. For that reason, I prefer the iPad to work, study, and comfort. It’s lighter than a computer, you have only the necessary information, and basically, I can do everything that I usually did  in a computer. I even bought a pencil, keyboard, mouse, and I can do more than in a computer, because I can draw, take notes with a pencil, I can read music sheet and I don’t have to print the ...

WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR

Hi everyone,  I’m going to talk about my experience in the university, career, decisions and how I got to my actual profession: Musical Composition. First, when I was a kid I really wanted to do a lot of things. I recall I loved the Astronomy. Every night I looked at the sky with a book about constellations, and tried to find as many constellations as I could. Until today, that is still so attractive to me, like at the beginning. In High School I loved the archeology, history, literature, but also things no related to the humanities, like commercial engineering, accounting, and business. That’s why before my actual profession, I did study accounting. When I finalized high school, it was super difficult to take a decision about what I really wanted to study. For that reason, I decided to study two professions: Accounting and Musical Composition, but not in the same time, instead, one after the other. Currently, I think it wasn’t a good decision. WHO AM I?

Hi everyone, my name is Elijah Ancamil and i will sharing with you the history about me. I Elijah Andrew Ancamil Castro and I was born in Temuco, Chile. I´m 30 years old. I lived in Temuco until my ten years, and we´re moved to Santiago, to the capital. I completed my high school in Insuco 2, a commercial school. Parallel to that, I had been studied piano for 5 years, starting when I was 12 years old. My parents lives in Temuco, and I have one brother younger that me. He is 22 years old and he studies accouting. I was studied accounting too, and finished that career, before to entry to sudy my actual profession. Actually, I am studying Music Composition, in the University of Chile, and I´m in my 6th year there. My hobbies are many, I really like to play chess, play poker, and watch video series in different platforms.
